Will there be any water stations on the course?

Yes, water stations will be placed approximately every mile along the course for participants.

Is the course well marked?

All obstacles are clearly marked and the course is well flagged. Runners will easily navigate throughout the wild and mucky course.

Can we pick up our event shirt and goodie bag on race day?

Yes, you can arrive up to 60 minutes prior to your start time to check in and receive your event gear and sign in for the event.

Will there be pre-event packet pick up for this event?

No, we will have packet pick up at the race site on Saturday morning, May 14th beginning at 7:00am.  There will be plenty of staff to help your group check in quickly.

Are spectators welcome to come cheer on their friends and family?

Yes. Spectators will pay $10 which includes their parking pass, entry into the event, access to the race course and refreshments. Spectators that are 12 years of age or younger get in for free!

Is there a minimum age for the Play Dirty Adventure Trail Run?

Racers must be a minimum of 14 years of age to participate in the 3-Mile and 5-Mile courses. The 1-Mile Mini Muck for Kids is for ages 6-13.  Participants under the age of 18 will need to have a parent or guardian present to sign the event waiver.  

If I am not able to race, are refunds available for this event?

Entry fees are non-refundable.

Are runners allowed to dress up or wear costumes and compete in the Play Dirty Adventure Trail Run?

Absolutely! Our staff will also pick the top costumes for special prizes.

Will prizes be awarded in this event?

All participants that cross the finish line will receive a custom Play Dirty finisher’s medal.

What is the entry fee for the Play Dirty Adventure Trail Run?

Early registration for the 5-mile course is $75, and early registration for the 3-mile Play Dirty course is $50 and includes your race entry, quick-dry event shirt, finishers medal, great after party with food & drink.  Early registration for the Mini-Muck for Kids is $25 and includes a youth event shirt, finishers award, great after party, and food & drink.

I would like to volunteer for this event. How do I sign up and what do volunteers receive?

We welcome volunteers to get in on the action! Click on the Volunteer link for each event on this website and pick a time that fits best for you. Volunteers will receive a quick-dry event shirt, food and refreshments, and custom Play Dirty Award. Volunteers must be able to work a minimum of 4 hours.

I want to participate in the Play Dirty run. How will I be sure that my child will not be racing in the Mini-Muck at the same time?

Great question. No kids Mini-Muck waves will take place during the 3-mile and 5-mile courses. So, if you sign up for an adult, you will be able to run the course with your child and still participate in your wave time. We will have many parents that will participate in the Play Dirty Adventure and also sign up their children.

Is there a location to check in personal items (purses, hats, jewelry, bags) while we participate in the event?

We don’t have services to store personal items during the event. Please make other arrangements to keep your items safe during the event.

Are pets allowed inside the Play Dirty events?

No, due to insurance requirements, we are not able to include dogs or other pets into the event.

Are the t-shirts adult or youth sizes for the Mini-Muck event?

The Mini-Muck t-shirts are all youth sizes. So, please mark your size accordingly.

Does the parent or guardian have to pay an entry fee to bring a child to the Mini-Muck event?

No. One parent or guardian receives entrance with a child entry. This also includes parking. The parent or guardian does not have to register. The child receives a Mini Muck shirt along with food and drink. Additional family or spectators are $10 each which gives them parking, entrance into the park, access to the Play Dirty course, and food and drink.Spectators that are 12 years of age or younger get in the event for free! An adult that registers for the Play Dirty run will have full access to join the kids on their adventure.

How can I be sure I am placed with my friends in the same start wave?

When you register for the event, you choose your own wave start time.  Be sure to share this time with your friends to ensure you are in the same wave.

Is there day of registration?

No! We will not have race day registration for this event.

Will you award the group that has the best shirts or decorated tent area?

Absolutely! Our Play Dirty staff will be scouring the course throughout the day to award prizes for the best decorated set-up area and group shirt design!

Will you have a Group Challenge at this event?

Yes, the group that registers the most runners will receive a great trophy! Enter your group name on the on-line registration form to have your group in the running!

I’m not a serious athlete. Can I participate in the Play Dirty Adventure?

Absolutely! Participants can tackle the course at their pace and bypass the obstacles they don’t want to complete. All fitness levels are welcome.

If I come up to an obstacle I’m not comfortable completing, can I skip it?

Yes, each obstacle will have a bypass lane allowing participants to choose which obstacles they choose to complete. The obstacles are fun (and messy). So, most runners will want to get in on the action!

How long is the course?

The Play Dirty Adventure Trail Run is 3 miles and includes 20 obstacles. The Mini-Muck for Kids is 1 mile in length. And, the PD Extreme Course is 5 miles and includes 30 obstacles.
